Current sophomore at Duncan High School, Blakely Stulir is a member of the cross-country team and was a member of the FFA chapter. Stulir said she loves being a student-athlete at Duncan thanks to the coaches, teachers, and teammates. “Duncan is a good high school for sports. There’s a lot of coaches so I personally feel like you get more help for each of them. The school itself is good, all the teachers and
staff are good people,” said Stulir. Track is one of Stulir’s favorite sports and this season has been one to remember.
“Track is one of my favorite sports, but I do enjoy running and still love cross country. What I love most is the people. Everyone is like a family and really close it’s just a good environment. My favorite part of this season so far has been going shopping after one of the meets,” said Stulir. As a member of FFA, Stulir said it was her father who encouraged her to join.
“I joined my freshman year. My dad had encouraged me to join. While I was in FFA we did study of like
animals and like the judging of animals at shows and stuff like that. My favorite part of FFA was showing animals. When I was in FFA it had some good learning experiences for the future that I will hold onto, but I would say just give it a try,” said Stulir. Stulir is involved in National Honor Society, SADD, and Key Club.
Away from school Stulir said she is involved in Lucky Circle Social Club.
When her days at Duncan HS come to an end, Stulir said she would like to study anesthesiology in college.
