Q&A with Duncan’s Logan Sanders – Presented by Dusty Corp – Shelter Insurance

VYPE: What grade are you in and what sports do you play?

Logan: I am a sophomore at Duncan High School. I run cross country and track.

VYPE: What accomplishment or memory are you most proud of?

Logan: Going to state as a freshman, or breaking 5 for the mile in eighth grade.

VYPE: What has your sports taught you that makes you a better person?

Logan: My sports have shown me how to be a better leader, and to stay humble. Track and cross country is a big community, but most of us are humble and very sportsmanlike, so iron sharpens iron.

VYPE: What teammate has left the biggest impression on you?

Logan: I’d have to say Luke White has been the biggest impact on me this year. We both run similar events and we’re around each other a lot. Luke is also a good role model, and an even better leader.

VYPE: Who is your favorite teacher from any grade?

Logan: Mrs. Jones, who was my fifth grade teacher, is my favorite teacher of all time. She taught us about the American Revolution, and Hamilton had come out around that time, so I got really into American history. I started to really look forward to learning about it. She was also very caring.

VYPE: Who inspires you?

Logan: Lightning McQueen is definitely a big inspiration for me. I used to watch Cars on the DVD player every night when I was little, and that really got me into racing.

VYPE: What is your all-time favorite meal?

Logan: My all-time meal has to be Jambalaya. I love coming home after practice and cooking some up for dinner.

VYPE: Are you involved in any other group or activities?

Logan: I am involved in the National Honor Society and I am active in my church.

VYPE: Here is your chance to give a shoutout to anyone you wish.

Logan: I want to give a shout out to all my teammates. Y’all are the ones I’m running with every day at practice, and y’all are the ones who are with me after a good race, a bad race, or even just a mid-race. So I want to thank all of you for being with me.
