VYPE: What have you loved most about this season?
Todd Ledford: Honestly, it’s just getting to work with kids and seeing the improvements that they make throughout the season
VYPE: While there are no formal captains, which senior has stood out to you this year?
TL: Felipe Villarreal, He has been a leader by example for his entire high school career
VYPE: What was the biggest surprise of the season?
TL: Not really a surprise, but Logan Sanders finished higher than expected at the state meet with a top 5 finish.
VYPE: What has been your favorite moment with this squad?
TL: I wouldn’t say an exact moment, but it’s just the day-to-day experiences and practices.
VYPE: What does the future of the program look like?
TL: The future looks great! We have an outstanding group of freshmen coming in from the 8th-grade team, with some experienced veterans returning.
VYPE: How do you enjoy spending your free time away from school?
TL: Just relaxing at home and taking trips with my family.
VYPE: What is your message to the senior class of 2026, and what would you like returning students to know?
TL: We always preach to the kids to leave the program better when they leave than when they start! This group definitely did that. To the newcomers, I say the same thing: Put your thumbprint on the program and leave it better than when you start!
