OFFENSE
The Duncan Demons are looking to turn the corner after a 4-6 season, and with many producers returning from 2024, the program has the experience needed to take that next step. Leading the charge is quarterback Sawyer Rice (6-0, 205, Sr.), who has become a great leader as well as a tough competitor. Last season, Rice accounted for 1,343 passing yards and added 630 more on the ground while scoring 10 total touchdowns. His ability to hurt defenses both through the air and on the run will be a driving force behind the offense. At running back, Tavion Holland (5-10, 187, Sr.) provides stability and production after carrying the ball 175 times for 794 yards and four touchdowns. His physical style of running complements the passing attack and helps control the tempo. Boston White (5-11, 170, Sr.) returns as the top target after making 29 receptions for 338 yards and three touchdowns. His consistent route running and sure hands give Rice a reliable option in crucial moments. Up front, the offensive line will be anchored by Jacob Conn (6-2, 300, Sr.) and Corbin Waid (6-2, 235, Sr.), who bring size and leadership to the trenches. Bryson Poindexter (6-1, 195, Sr.) rounds out a senior-heavy group that will look to set the tone every week. Sophomore CJ Warner, an explosive athlete who played both ways as a freshman, and junior Graham Goodson, who recently became a licensed pilot, will also look to make their mark.
DEFENSE
On defense, the Demons will rely on a core of experienced seniors to lead the way. Boston White will play a pivotal role at safety after collecting 55 tackles and six interceptions last season, showcasing his ball skills and instincts. Linebacker Jayzen Kortemeier (5-11, 170, Sr.) is coming off a breakout year with 52 tackles and 16 tackles for loss, providing energy and toughness in the middle. Defensive end Zion Butler (6-1, 220, Sr.) leads the front with 88 tackles, 23 tackles for loss, and three sacks, while Billy McClinton (6-1, 230, Sr.) is a force at defensive tackle. With Camden Villagrana (6-0, 185, Sr.) steadying the secondary and Crew Budowsky continuing to lead both on the field and in the community, Duncan is determined to compete every Friday night.
