After a challenging 3-22 campaign last season, the Duncan Demons are eager to turn the page and build on their progress. Head Coach Zac Knox, entering his third year at the helm, sees a team with a strong mix of veteran leadership and emerging talent, ready to set a new standard for Duncan basketball.

“This year’s group has a lot of potential,” Knox said. “We return four starters and several key players off the bench. With nine seniors bringing experience and maturity, along with motivated sophomores and juniors, we feel confident about our depth and the direction our program is heading.”

Leading the way is senior guard Carson Carrio (5-9, Sr.), a three-year returning starter and consistent scoring threat. Averaging eight points per game last season, Carson has the ability to stretch defenses with his perimeter shooting. Beyond his stats, he brings leadership, energy, and an unselfish approach that sets the tone for the team. “Carson is one of our most reliable players,” Knox said. “He works hard every day and is poised to have a strong senior season.”

Senior forward Kadyn Armstrong (6-6, Sr.) adds toughness and consistency to the lineup. A high-character player who leads by example, Armstrong averaged six points and six rebounds per game last year. His resilience and competitive nature make him a model for younger teammates both on and off the court.

The Demons will also lean on sophomore guard Sam Lipscomb (5-11, So.), who earned the starting point guard role late last season thanks to his poise, maturity, and versatility. A three-sport athlete, Lipscomb’s work ethic and competitiveness are expected to help anchor the backcourt this season.

Junior forward Brandt Stocking (6-5, Jr.) and senior guard Jayce Ramirez (6-0, Sr.) round out the key contributors, adding depth, energy, and rebounding presence.

With a mix of returning experience, high-character seniors, and motivated underclassmen ready to step into bigger roles, Duncan is focused on growth and team cohesion. Knox believes that as the season progresses, the Demons’ chemistry and collective effort will make them a tough matchup.

The goal is clear: build on last year’s lessons, embrace the grind, and continue elevating the standard for Duncan Demons basketball.
