VYPE: What are your personal goals this year and how is the season going?
Katelin: My personal goals this year is to make it to playoffs as a team and possibly host the playoff game on our home field. This season has been going very well, we have improved so much as a team and individually.
VYPE: What is the most fun you have had in the last year?
Katelin: Over the last year the most fun I have had was when we had practice the last day of spring break and me and Coach Southerland were on a team together playing soccer tennis.
VYPE: Who is your favorite teacher from any grade or coach and why?
Katelin: My favorite coach is coach Southerland. He is my favorite coach because he pushes me to do my best and is always proud of us no matter the turn out.
VYPE: What is your favorite athletic memory?
Katelin: My favorite athletic memory was beating cache in penalties and celebrating in the locker room afterwards.
VYPE: What teammate has left the biggest impression on you and why?
Katelin: Hanna Brew has left a huge impression on me because she always works so hard and reminds me even when I’m not doing well to keep my head up and keep going. And we always celebrate our goals together.
VYPE: Who on your team has the best impression of your coach and who says the funniest things during games?
Katelin: I feel like I have a good impression of our coach because I know he will push us to do our best and never give up on us. The person who says the funniest things during games would definitely be Gizzel Carrasco.
VYPE: You can pick any place for a summer vacation, where do you go and who do you take with you?
Katelin: I would go to Bora Bora because it looks so beautiful and fun. I would take my family and a couple friends along with me.
VYPE: If we gave you 500 dollars and you had to spend it in the next 24 hours, how would you spend it?
Katelin: I would start by filling my tank up and then I would probably buy more shoes and possibly some more soccer cleats.
VYPE: Here is your chance to say hello, goodbye or thank you to anyone you wish.
Katelin: This year’s seniors are going to be very hard to lose and I was so thankful to get to play with them for two years. They have impacted me not only as a player but as a person. I also want to thank Gizzel for always making me laugh and being my passing partner always.
