Coach: Ryan Smith
Head coach Ryan Smith said the Demons are young this year, but what they lack in experience, they make up for in hard work. “We are young, but extremely hard working,” said coach Smith. With several sophomores in starting roles, their development is crucial for the success of the team. Zane Petty (6-4, So.) will start at forward giving the Demons a player who is tough to match up against on the offensive end of the court. Petty will be a solid defender as well alongside Chris Krouts (6-4, So.) at forward. The pair will create problems for opponents as they try and figure out a strategy to stop both guys inside. Mason Imel (6-3, So.) is another player who can create off the dribble or shoot from the outside. Renji Lin (5-8, Jr.) is a quick, guard with the excellent court vision and relentless pressure on defense. Logan Gustin (6-6, So.) and Baylor Bostick (6-5, Jr.) will help this team in big ways this season as coach Smith looks to keep fresh legs on the court. Both players have the potential to be difference makers this season. Thomas Brown (6-4, Jr.) will come in at guard giving the Demons another long player in the backcourt. Overall the Demons are young, but they play hard and will surprise a lot of teams this season with their willingness to outwork you on both ends of the court.
