VYPE: What are your personal goals for the year and how is the season going?
Casey: My personal goals for the season are to become more of a leader on the team and keep a more positive mindset. So far the season is going well. We are still learning to play together, and there are a lot of things we can improve on.
VYPE: What is the most fun you have had in the last year?
Casey: I had the most fun this past year at volleyball regionals! It was such an exciting experience and I learned a lot from it. It was a huge milestone for our team and the feeling winning regionals was electrifying.
VYPE: Who is your favorite teacher from any grade and why?
Casey: My favorite teacher ever is my ninth grade history teacher. His name is Erik Hughes. I truly learned so much from him about not only history, but life. He sadly moved away, but I think of his wise comments often.
VYPE: What is your favorite athletic memory?
Casey: My favorite athletic memory is beating El Reno last year. They were our biggest rivals and the feeling of beating them was awesome. Coach Lard was also very happy.
VYPE: What teammate has left the biggest impression on you and why?
Casey: The teammate that has left the biggest impression on me is Alexis Giles. She was always hyped and positive no matter what was happening on the court. She always puts her full effort into every point. She was always cheering for me louder than anyone else when I would score a point. I am so thankful to have had a teammate like her.
VYPE: What is your favorite part of being part of a team?
Casey: My favorite part of being on a team is the friendships I build. Sports have really brought me close to some great people. Spending time with the girls and working together makes our friendships that much stronger.
VYPE: You can pick any place for a summer vacation, where do you go and who do you take with you?
Casey: If I could choose any vacation I would go to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. I would take my big brother. We would have the time of our life because we love the beach and being outside!
VYPE: If we have you $500 and you had to spend it in the next 24 hours, what would you spend it on?
Casey: If I was given $500 to spend in the next 24 hours I would spend it on a nice vacation for my best friend and I.
VYPE: Here is your chance to say hello, goodbye or thank you to anyone you wish.
Casey: I would like to thank Coach Lard. She is the absolute best coach I could ask for. She is constantly pushing me to be better. She is there for me even outside of sports. She loves me like her own kid and I love her like family. She is an amazing woman and she deserves all of the credit.
