If there’s a surface that an athletic event can be held on at Duncan High School, the odds are good that Kindalyn “KK” Miller will compete on it.
“I play softball, basketball, and I run track,” Miller said. “I fell in love with the game of softball at around the age of nine. I love to play all of the sports because of my competitiveness, and they are all just so much fun. I enjoy the teamwork, meeting new people and friends, and playing with some of my best friends. I have also gained a lot of leadership skills which helps me be successful not only in sports, but also in school and life.”
Miller is smack dab in the middle of her junior year of softball, and she said the season is going well.
“The season is going great,” she said. “Our record is 14-4 which I think proves that. Our morale is high and we are very encouraging of each other.”
Reaching her goals and helping the team win is her top priority.
“Some goals I have for myself this season would be to get better every game and to maintain a positive attitude even when things don’t go my way,” Miller continued. “A couple of team goals we have would be to make it to the state tournament and to set goals and boundaries for ourselves.”
Miller said she doesn’t get much free time, but what little she gets is enjoyed by spending time with her family and friends, practicing the sports she plays, and enjoying life.
