3 Questions with Clay Phillips
VYPE: What does it mean to you to be called the unsung hero of this team?
Phillips: To me being the unsung hero is being the person that is always working their hardest to better themselves but gets no recognition or praise for it.
VYPE: If you were stranded on island who are three people you would want there with you?
Phillips: If I were stranded on an island I would bring the Rock, because he is the Rock, Ryan Reynolds, because he is hilarious and could give me a good laugh, and finally my dad so we could figure out how to survive together.
VYPE: Who is someone that has been a big influence in your life, on or off the field?
Phillips: My mom has been a huge influence in my life for so many reasons, she is my rock, and I couldn’t do life without her. She always pushes me to be my absolute best and is always caring and understanding with me no matter the circumstances.
